A Core System and Tradespeople App That Connect Every Part of a Construction Business: Atsuta Core System

Overview
At Atsuta Kenso Co., Ltd., an interior finishing contractor, ordering, crew assignment, invoicing, deposits and payments, and payroll were each handled in separate tools and spreadsheets. The same information had to be entered again and again, and compiling the figures for each site took time.
Atsuta Core System is a core business system that manages information on companies, tradespeople, sites, and materials in one place and connects every business process. As a co-creation partner since the Di-ORDER ordering system, we developed this system and an app for tradespeople.
Challenges
- Tools were split by business process, and the same information was entered many times over
- Estimates, invoices, costs, and gross profit for each site could not be seen right away
- Communication and document exchange with tradespeople relied on phone calls and personal messaging apps
What We Did
- Developed a core system that centrally manages companies, tradespeople, sites, and materials
- Business functions covering everything from estimates to progress billing, deposits and payments, expenses, payroll, and profit and loss
- An app for tradespeople that handles site chat, photos, documents, and completion reports on a smartphone
- Integration with Di-ORDER, the e-commerce store, and invoicing and payment services
Results
- Everything from ordering to profit and loss is connected in a single set of data, and double entry is gone
- Simply entering the quantities for each room now automatically totals the estimate, invoice, cost, and gross profit for each site
- Communication and document exchange with tradespeople are consolidated in the app, site by site

App for Tradespeople
Tradespeople can check the chat, drawings, safety documents, and completion reports for the sites they are assigned to on their smartphones. Because information is organized by site, miscommunication and time spent hunting for documents have decreased.

Use of AI
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Bank passbook reading | Reads deposits and withdrawals from scanned passbook PDFs and imports them after staff review |
| Automatic sorting of photos and documents | Sorts photos and documents received in site chat into folders such as construction photos, daily reports, and inspections |
| Notification summaries | Judges the importance of incoming notifications and adds a short summary that can be understood at a glance |
Every feature switches to standard processing when AI is unavailable.
Developed by a Team Member Who Knows Construction Sites
One of our team members has 10 years of experience on construction sites and has been in charge of the entire development, from Di-ORDER through to this core system. Because we know the language of the site and how the work flows, we were able to build a system that both tradespeople and office staff actually use.
A Partner in the Truest Sense
Counting from Di-ORDER, we have been building the business together with our client for more than three years. What started as an ordering system has grown into a core system that supports the entire company's operations, from managing tradespeople to invoicing and accounting.
To us, co-creation means working alongside our clients not as buyer and vendor, but as teammates building the same business.
We will continue to draw on this experience to advance DX in the construction industry.
