New Prototype Developed to Streamline Multilingual UI Production

We have developed a prototype that dramatically improves productivity when creating wireframes and UIs in Figma. The prototype lets you switch easily between English and Japanese, and is designed to make multilingual UI production more efficient.

Until now, creating a UI for multiple languages meant preparing a separate wireframe for each language, which added to the work of updating and sharing. As a result, the following problems came up frequently.

  • Creating and updating UIs in multiple languages takes a lot of work

  • Updates are easily missed in one language or another

  • Several different URLs exist for the same UI, making sharing and writing design documents cumbersome

  • Prototypes for each language cannot be managed in one place

  • The number of UIs in Figma balloons, making things harder to see

With the prototype we have developed, we expect to solve these problems and make switching languages seamless, reducing rework in production and improving the productivity of the project as a whole.

The prototype is currently being used in-house, and we plan to release it to the public in the future. If you are an individual, company, or community that wants to make multilingual support in Figma wireframe and UI production more efficient and would like to use it before the public release, please get in touch.
