CSR Initiative: Supporting 109 Students at Shree Taksar Basic School, Nepal

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, we recently completed a donation program at श्री टक्सार आधारभूत विद्यालय (Shree Taksar Basic School) in Bhume-3, Jhumlabang — a remote village in the Rukum East district of Nepal.

The program provided direct support to all 109 students of the school, aged 3 to 14, equipping each child with essentials for daily life and learning:

  • Clothing and footwear
  • School bags
  • Educational materials and stationery
  • Sports equipment

Background

Few investments shape a community's future as profoundly as education. In remote districts like Rukum East, however, children often face obstacles long before they reach the classroom — long journeys on foot, harsh weather without adequate clothing, and a shortage of the most basic school supplies.

This donation was designed to ease those everyday burdens. When a child has proper shoes for the walk to school, a bag to carry their books, and the materials to write with, one more barrier between them and their education disappears. Our goal was simple: to help the students of Shree Taksar Basic School arrive at school ready to learn.

Why We Undertook This Initiative

We are a software development company, and social contribution is not our line of business. But we have always believed that a company does not exist apart from its communities — it grows out of them. With our engineering teams based in Nepal, we owe much of what we are to the talent and warmth of this country. Extending a hand to a school in one of its most underserved regions felt less like philanthropy and more like a natural act of gratitude.

In Closing

We extend our sincere thanks to the principal, teachers, and community of Shree Taksar Basic School for welcoming this initiative and working alongside us to bring it to the students. Seeing 109 children head to class with new bags on their shoulders and new shoes on their feet was a powerful reminder of why efforts like this matter.

While modest in scale, this initiative reflects a commitment we intend to carry forward. Where we can make a genuine difference, we hope to do so again.
