Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an engineer with a strong interest in business co-creation who can get actively involved and take the lead. In addition to broad, advanced technical skills, the role calls for active involvement in the business, an open mindset, and a strong desire to learn and adapt to new things.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to ideation and design for new business ventures

• Understand the product’s purpose and help achieve it in the best possible way

• Follow development best practices and write clean, scalable code designed for easy maintenance

• Measure and improve the performance and security of the product

• Take part in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and improve overall code quality

• Contribute to product ideation, design, and development, and drive continuous improvement

• Stay on top of industry trends and new technologies and reflect them in the business development process

• Embody our mission and core values yourself, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to creating an environment that promotes our values

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 or more years of software development experience

• Proficiency in at least one of React, Next.js, Flutter, Go, Python, or Node.js

• Basic knowledge of AWS or GCP and the ability to reach your goals by researching as you go

• Broad knowledge of and experience with RESTful APIs (OpenAPI) or GraphQL

• Knowledge of and experience in measuring and improving program performance

• Broad knowledge of and experience in making products secure

• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills

• Communication and teamwork skills, and an understanding of diversity and inclusion

• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and adapting to change

• Understanding of and alignment with our core values (pursuing customer success, continuous improvement, and increasing repeatability)

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Project management experience

• Basic knowledge of or experience with “design thinking”

• Experience with requirements definition, design, and prototyping

• Proficiency in multiple technologies from our technology stack

• Experience in business development and validation
